PWDPI Investigation Team Visits Lampung High Prosecutor’s Office, Seeks Clarity on Alleged 2019 West Pesisir Grant Case
BANDAR LAMPUNG — KABAR NEGERI PLUS — Allegations surrounding the distribution of grant funds from the 2019 fiscal year in West Pesisir Regency have resurfaced. This time, the issue is not merely being discussed publicly but is being brought directly to law enforcement authorities for clarification.
Chairman of the Bandar Lampung City DPD PWDPI, Khairul, together with the PWDPI Bandar Lampung investigative team, visited the Lampung High Prosecutor’s Office to verify information circulating regarding alleged irregularities in the distribution of 2019 grant funds, which reportedly involved the name of a member of the West Pesisir Regency DPRD, Ali Yudiem.
The team’s visit was part of a journalistic effort to distinguish between circulating information, available documents, statements from relevant parties, and facts that have actually been established by law enforcement authorities.
Upon arriving at the Lampung High Prosecutor’s Office, Khairul explained the purpose of the team’s visit to the public service officer.
“We are from the PWDPI Bandar Lampung investigative team. We came here to clarify and verify the information circulating regarding the 2019 fiscal-year grant issue in West Pesisir Regency. We want to meet with the Head of the Civil and Administrative Affairs Section (Kasi Asdatun) of the Lampung High Prosecutor’s Office to obtain clear information,” Khairul told the service officer.
Not Merely a Rumor, PWDPI Seeks Legal Certainty
The issue has attracted public attention because information circulating indicates alleged irregularities in the distribution of 2019 grant funds to several groups or institutions in West Pesisir Regency.
The amount mentioned in the information is approximately Rp374 million, reportedly distributed to 17 groups or institutions.
However, the amount, list of recipients, and legal status of the case must be carefully verified through official documents and statements from law enforcement authorities.
Previous information indicated that law enforcement officers had requested statements from several individuals. There were also reports from the West Pesisir Inspectorate indicating that findings related to the matter had been forwarded to law enforcement authorities.
If those reports are accurate, the next and more important question is:
How far has the case progressed? Is it still at the information-gathering stage, investigation stage, formal inquiry stage, or has a legal conclusion already been reached?
These are the questions that PWDPI seeks to answer through its clarification efforts.
DPRD Member’s Name Mentioned, Legal Certainty Must Be Ensured
The emergence of Ali Yudiem’s name in the circulating information has drawn further public attention.
However, being mentioned in an alleged case does not automatically establish criminal involvement.
For this reason, PWDPI views clarification as an essential part of its investigation. If there is sufficient evidence of a violation of the law, the public has the right to know how the legal process is being handled.
Conversely, if the allegations are not proven, the person whose name has been mentioned also has the right to legal certainty and restoration of his reputation.
This is the essential point of an investigation: not to determine who should be blamed, but to establish what is true based on facts and evidence.
Seventeen Grant Recipients Become a Key Verification Point
Initial information reviewed by the investigative team indicates that several groups or institutions received 2019 grant funds in West Pesisir Regency.
Among them are:
- Sanggar Seni Angkon Riwon — Way Nukak Village

- Sanggar Seni Seandanan Dusun Heni Mandak — Asahan Way Sindi Village

The above list remains part of the initial information requiring cross-verification against budget documents, grant decisions, recipient proposals, disbursement records, accountability reports, and statements from the recipient groups.
Major Questions Now Awaiting Answers
The PWDPI investigative team’s visit to the Lampung High Prosecutor’s Office ultimately centers on one primary objective: establishing factual and legal clarity.
Was the alleged grant case actually handled by law enforcement authorities?
If so, how far has the process progressed?
Has evidence of an unlawful act been found?
Is there an indication of state financial losses?
And, most importantly, who has been questioned and what is the legal status of each party involved?
These questions must be answered based on official documents and statements from law enforcement authorities—not rumors.
PWDPI stated that it would continue examining the information while upholding the principles of confirmation, verification, balance, accountability, and the presumption of innocence.
Right of Reply Remains Open
As of the publication of this report, no substantive response had been obtained from the party whose name was mentioned in the circulating information.
Kabar Negeri Plus provides an open opportunity for Ali Yudiem, prosecutors, the West Pesisir Inspectorate, and the grant recipient groups or institutions to provide clarification, corrections, or supporting evidence in order to ensure balanced and accountable reporting.
An investigation does not stop at circulating information. Facts must be tested, documents must be examined, and every party must be given an opportunity to explain.
